REVOLUTIONIZING BRAIN HEALTH

Join us and experience a comprehensive approach to brain health and healing.

WHERE TO START?

Brain fog is a general term many people use to refer to trouble with focus and concentration, planning, and low memory functioning.

One in nine adults age 45 and older report experiencing symptoms of cognitive decline, and many more people notice troubling symptoms but are hesitant to acknowledge them. People experience brain fog for many different reasons, including insulin resistance and poor metabolic health, nutrient and hormone deficiencies, dehydration, lack of sleep or untreated sleep apnea, Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, exposure to neurotoxins like herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals and industrial pollutants, and more. Many root causes of brain fog begin years before symptoms show up.

The Enhance Protocol is a powerful system for improving cognitive functioning and is highly effective in identifying the root causes of brain fog and helping people get back to crisp mental functioning. We use cognitive testing, a health history, and an extensive panel of bloodwork to determine the extent of the problems. Our Chief Medical Officer then writes a comprehensive treatment report we call the Enhance Roadmap™ because it explains how to go from where you are to where you want to be. Our Certified Memory Coaches then guide you through interventions, including targeted supplementation, dietary changes, exercise, use of medical devices, brain training, sleep optimization, and more. Most of our clients experience significant, measurable improvements as they participate in The Enhance Protocol.

Most people think of a concussion as a brain injury from a hit to the head that is hard enough to cause a loss of consciousness, disorientation, nausea, and other acute symptoms. While such situations are definitely concussions, brain injuries are often more subtle and may not cause immediate symptoms that would be traditionally diagnosed as a concussion. The brain floats in the skull and many forces, directed in the right way, can cause the brain to temporarily compress on itself and damage the delicate pituitary gland- a critical part of the brain that regulates signaling of many neurologically active hormones. When this happens, people may develop symptoms of depression, anxiety, an eating disorder, mood swings, trouble concentrating, brain fog, uncontrolled aggression, suicidal ideation, difficulty sleeping, or other symptoms.

The Enhance Protocol is a powerful tool for correcting these challenges. We use cognitive testing, a health history, and an extensive panel of bloodwork to determine the extent of the problems. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia and currently affects more than 6 million Americans and at least 50 million people worldwide. Despite decades of research and over 400 clinical trials, no drug has been found to cure or significantly modify the course of the disease. Perhaps the biggest reason for this is that Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative conditions are triggered by many different factors and no medication or individual treatment can target the variety of root causes at work. Imagine working as a mechanic and trying to fix every broken car that comes to your shop by repairing one thing!

Alzheimer’s disease is characterized by a buildup of amyloid beta protein plaques and neurofibrillary tangles made of tau protein. The buildup of tangles and plaques often begins 10 to 20 years before symptoms of memory loss, language impairment, trouble planning and reasoning, disorientation, and other symptoms show up.

Fortunately, many brilliant researchers and physicians agree that a personalized, multi-interventional approach that addresses individual specific challenges can strengthen brain health and support cognition. When the brain is injured, or when neurological needs are unsupported, cognition can be impaired and neurodegenerative disease can progress. However, when various triggers or risks of cognitive disorders are identified and optimized, cognition and brain health can improve.

In lieu of a pre-determined, single pharmaceutical drug treatment for neurological dysfunction, individuals can be screened for several neurodegenerative contributors. These can include, but are not limited to nutrient and hormone deficiencies, inflammation, insulin resistance and diabetes, pathogens and biotoxins, chemicals and organic toxins, compromised blood flow, disordered lifestyles, dental decay, chronic infection, and a host of other variables. When contributors are identified, at-risk individuals can adopt a personalized, therapeutic protocol that offers real hope for improvement.

Dementia is a general term that refers to cognitive decline severe enough to impact a person’s ability to manage activities of daily living independently. There are over one hundred dementing illnesses but about 70% of dementia cases are caused by Alzheimer’s disease. Other common forms of dementia include vascular dementia, Lewy Body Dementia, Fronto-temporal Degeneration, and Parkinson’s dementia. Currently, 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia and women are at greater risk.

Although the different dementing illnesses have varied root causes, they generally involve many variables working together to create a cascade of brain degeneration and decline.

The Enhance Protocol® is a powerful tool for identifying and correcting the contributors to cognitive decline. Many efforts to improve symptoms of mental health challenges confront the old nature versus nurture debate. Are mental health symptoms the result of early childhood training and conditioning, chemical imbalances in the brain that need to be managed with medications, or both? At A Mind For All Seasons, we aim to identify the root causes of mental health challenges and correct them so our clients experience lasting benefits. Some people experience low energy, trouble concentrating, anxiety, or other distressing symptoms if they have genetic tendencies that make it more difficult for their body to use B vitamins. Others have damage to the pituitary gland that has affected their body’s ability to signal production of critical hormones. Untreated sleep apnea leaves many people exhausted and feeling depressed. Many of our clients have experienced brain injuries and were not even aware. For example, sports like soccer, football, rugby, and basketball have a high incidence of hits to the head that may not rise to the level of a traditional concussion diagnosis but could still damage the pituitary gland and result in serious hormonal signaling problems that cause mental health-related symptoms.

The Enhance Protocol is a powerful tool for correcting these challenges. We use cognitive testing, a health history, and an extensive panel of bloodwork to determine the extent of the problems. Our Chief Medical Officer then writes a comprehensive treatment report we call the Enhance Roadmap™ because it explains how to go from where you are to where you want to be. We Optimize Brain Health!

We translate the latest innovations from top researchers into a system called The Enhance Protocol, which allows people of all ages to find relief from devastating conditions that rob brain health and limit quality of life.

The Enhance Protocol®

Your brain and body are a complex system and your brain health depends on many different factors all working in concert. Just as you cannot repair every broken car by replacing the brakes, optimizing brain health requires a thorough evaluation of the system and a plan to correct any deficiencies.

Cognitive Testing

When you measure something, you’re able to quantify progress. The Enhance Protocol begins with identifying goals and measuring cognitive functioning, and reviewing an extensive health history questionnaire. We retest these every 3 months to measure progress.
